Company X started using these bags of sand in a marketing campaign saying "Superlative Sand". They used a line of campaigning saying if you already have our most popular product, buy superlative sand for your specialised X Ys.
X another device used to measure the "passage of time", which is the field of speciality of X.
Depictions of a (an) Y as a symbol of the passage of time are found in art, especially on tombstones or other monuments, from antiquity to the present day. The form of a winged X has been used as a literal depiction of the Latin phrase tempus fugit ("time flies").
The Clepysdra, or the Water Clock, was also a much more primitive method of measuring the passage of time which this company X has also created some limited edition products on. The Water Clock could be considered a primitive version of Y. Y today is considered an antique luxury.
